I went round to Eileens for dinner tonight (homemade lasagne = YUM!) and on my way home I had to stop off and get some petrol. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price. 130.9??!?! That's cheaper than its been in AGES. Hopefully the price will keep dropping because it was started to get verrrry pricey filling my wee car.

Today was my first day back at work. This made me sad. However after I finished work I went and bought some of my favourite salad dressing. That made me happy! You may think its a bit tragic but this salad dressing is amazing, and fairly hard to come by these days (yes, Eileen, one bottle is for you!!)

Today was the last day of my holiday. I flew home last night from Luton and today I spent the day lazing about the house. I haven't seen any of Wimbledon so I watched the Raphael Nadal v Juan Martin Del Potro match. It was rather exciting. Nadal won and is through to the quarter finals. I suppose I should try and watch an Andy Murray match at some point.

Today me and Rachel went to Whipsnade Zoo. We fully expected it to be packed because it was a roasting hot day. It wasn't too bad. I had an ice lolly for elevenses, and ice cream cone for lunch and watched this brown bear eat an apple in his pool. It was a most excellent Sunday.

Today was my first full day down south. I was staying with Rachel, who I met in Brazil. We went to Woburn Deer Park and Gardens. It was a lovely day. The gardens were lovely.
I also consumed possibly the worlds most gigantic scone. It was so immense I had to eat it with a knife and fork!

Today it was time to head home from Inverness. All was going really well. We made good time down the road and made it safely to Lyndsays. Mum came and collected me and Eileen and we dropped Eileen off at home. However we had only made it to the top of the street when the car radiator went Kapoot! I had a flight to catch down to Luton and I still had to wash clothes, pack and get to the airport. Thankfully we got towed home by the AA and mum dropped me off in the butterfly mobile with plenty of time to spare. Phew!!

Tonight we headed out to sample some of the local nightlife in Inverness. We decided to go to a club called Miami, mainly because it was the only nightclub we had seen, it was open on a Wednesday night and it was free to get in. An added bonus was that the round of drinks below cost a grant total of £3.85!! You can barely get one of those drinks for that in Glasgow.

Today we went up to Loch Ness. We went round the Loch Ness Exhibit which freaked the bejesus out of me. I am not good in dark rooms where you can't see anything because I am convinced someone or something will jump out at me. It didnt help that there were great big dinosaur skulls in the walls.
We came out convinced that Nessie wasn't real and all the sightings could be explained. Then lo and behold! What should we find just hanging about in the pond at the bottom of the car park?! NESSIE!!

Today we didn't get up to much. We went for a wander into Inverness, and stopped off at the Tourist Information centre. Next to it was a big pine forest that we took a wander through. Here is me standing on the comfiest ground ever. It was so mossy you could have slept very comfortably on it.

Today was the first day of my holiday with Eileen and Lyndsay. The holiday was to celebrate our 30th birthdays (I would like to take this opportunity to point out that my 30th is not until next July. I am still only 28. However by the time I turn 30, Eileen and Lyndsay will be too old to celebrate and as they both turned 30 this year we chose to celebrate them all this summer).
Mum made us a birthday cake to take with us and i bought possibly the most classy birthday candle ever created. It even sang Happy Birthday. Infact it didn't stop singing Happy Birthday until I smashed it on the ground hours later and ripped the wee electronic bit out.

Out of Office
As I am heading off on holiday in the morning, and I am going to stay up in the hills where they dont have the interwebs, I wont be able to update my blog until a week on Monday. Rest assured, dear blog readers, I will ensure I have a photo for every day and when I do update it will be like Blog Christmas.

Heading off on holiday tomorrow with Eileen and Lyndsay. We're driving up to Inverness to stay in a caravan until Friday. Then on Friday night I am jetting down to Milton Keynes to see a couple of girls I went to Brazil with last year - Hayley, who was up here in February, and Rachel. Excited!!

Today I got nail wraps done. Aren't they snazzy? This is the second set I got put on. The first ones didn't stick properly and ended up just peeling off so I called the salon to get a refund and they offered to do them again for me.
Nice wee change from nail polish.

All the programmes I watch each week have finished. This made me very blue :(
However all was made right with the world tonight when Dexter started back. I love Dexter :)

I was round at Eileens tonight for a short while. A girl from my work, Laura (who is in the back ground) does acrylic nails, and was putting some on for Eileen while Elise entertained me with her stunt riding. She's such a daredevil.

YAY, NEW BED!!! I built it all by myself. It just about killed me but was soooo worth it. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. SQUEE!

My new bed is being delivered tomorrow so tonight I dismantled my old bed in preparation. As a result, tonight I am sleeping like a squatter with a mattress on the floor. Its all good though, because tomorrow I'll be sleeping like a Queen!!
Also, if anyone s struggling for birthday present ideas, a lovely new duvet cover wouldn't be sniffed at. Pink/purple please :)

I spent some time today tidying my room in preparation for my new bed coming on Wednesday. I was looking through a bundle of CDs for some music to listen to and found this. 'Moving House CD1. Sarahs happy mix 2005'. Me and Sarah have some similar musical tastes so I popped it on hoping to find some Busted, maybe a bit of Limp Bizkit or the like. I was sorely disappointed. There was 'Under the Sea' from The Little Mermaid and the Spongebob Square Pants theme tune. I ended up putting on some Foo Fighters.......

Sarah came over to visit today and, at some point, put a cocktail umbrella in her hair.
Later on I dropped her off at the train station then popped to Tesco. When I got home I found this picture on her facebook with the following:
'Put this in my hair at mums and forgot to take it out, so rode home on a train and bus, walked through town and went into somerfield with this in my hair. Hurrah for unintentional
silliness!'
People probably just thought she was worried about her bobble getting wet....

Today in work each team was to represent a country. I don't really know why, but my team decided to be France. We got lots of french food including French Fries crisps, grape juice in place of wine, croissants and French Fancies.

Graeme is wanting to organise an event for Oxjam in October (a month of gigs organised to raise funds for Oxfam). Tonight me and Eileen went round for a brainstorming session. We managed to decided that we want to try and book some 80's groups (Spandau Ballet, A-Ha and the like. I'm sure they would be up for it), Eileen ate cheese goo with Kirsty and the only venue we found that Graeme fell in love with is in......London.
Successful night!

This was my view from the dinner table tonight. Cows up in the hill. They aren't as friendly as the sheep, they tend to look at you with disgust. The sheep were quite friendly and looked as though they wanted to talk to you.

Today Eileen and her brood came over for a wee relaxing Sunday. Elise helped me hang out my washing on mums groovy wee free standing whirly gig. Surprisingly she was less of a hindrance than expected and was actually quite helpful. They did manage to just about eat us out of house and home from the moment they walked in the door this morning until they left after dinner. I dont understand how little people have such massive appetites!

Today me and mum went along to a wee church fete with Eileen and her kids. Kirsty and her children was there too, I believe she had helped organise it. I had a yummy hotdog (it's hard to get a decent one these days) and cake. It was good.
Me and mum were supposed to be running a wee market stall in Glasgow selling the bags mum had been making but it was cancelled. Annoyingly we didn't find out until we got there so we had to trudge home with all our stuff. I believe a strongly worded email will be sent to the organiser.

The weather was cracking today. Beautiful, sunny and warm. Sadly I was stuck in work all day. However the canteen at work decided to cash in on the first decent weather we have had this year and had ice cream for sale. Mine had fruit compote, meringue, marshmallows and a chocolate stick! I must say, it brightened up my afternoon.

Its currently sitting charging so I haven't got to play about with it yet. I probably wont actually get it working until some point next week.....

I have a wee pad of post its that sit on top of my computer in work. On one side there is a smiley face, and the other has a grumpy face. I turn it round depending on my mood and today was a grumpy face day.
I had a woman phone up, spend 10 minutes talking to me like I was stupid and then, when I tried to explain why we were needed what we asking for, proceeded to shout over me 'No, listen to me. No, listen to me. No, listen to me. No, listen to me. No, listen to me. No, listen to me. No, listen to me.' I quickly got sick of that and hung up on her with no warning. Really, when you call a call centre, think of the person on the other end of the phone as a human being and not a monkey you can abuse and treat like a piece of dirt on your shoe. If you do that they might just go out of their way to help you. If you speak to them like that woman did to me you get no help what so ever.
